Writer, Maximilian Rios, is a sophomore at Johnson high school working for MyJagNews. He's a full-time cadet for JROTC and a super duper cool guy. He commonly works on anything related to ROTC and other team events.

With the end of the school year just around the corner, school festivals’ return. This year the Jagathon will be canceled but will be replaced with a new kind of Jag Jam.
Since pulling into the parking lot on the first day back from spring break, students and parents have been enduring the addition of six new speed bumps placed throughout the campus.
With the Bluebonnet Classic having reached its end, students from across Texas came to Johnson to scrape up their last bit of points to have a chance to compete at the state competition.
With the year reaching its peak, Student Council will be starting its second round of projects. Some of the events include Soldier’s Angels, Teens for Jeans and Miles for Mallory.
Artists across the Johnson campus have been sending in their genres of pieces to the Scholastic Art & Writing competition. Over the break, 24 art students' pieces were presented with “Honorable Mention”, 14 pieces with “Silver Key”, and 10 pieces with the “Golden Key” award.
While in the past students may have seen flex as a 35 minute Sonic break from their school day, new attendance policies at school will help reinforce the importance of this extra period.
