The Johnson Jags football team have qualified for the playoffs for the second year in a row. Taking note from last year, the Jags clinched a spot in dramatic fashion, beating the Madison Mavericks in triple overtime.
The Johnson Jags lost once again to the Reagan Rattlers 33-16 on a cool Saturday night at Comalander stadium. The Jags started off hot, but the Rattlers were able to contain them for the rest of the game.
The Johnson softball team just capped off a very successful year, finishing as NEISD champs for the second straight year, and won their first playoff round defeating Smithson Valley. The team was led by an unexpected leader, one that had not even lived in Texas the year prior, freshman K.K. Colquhoun took charge for the Jags on the mound and didn’t look back.
The Johnson Jaguars softball team has been clicking on all cylinders as of late. With a 17-6 overall record (and a 7-1 district record), the team has put themselves in position for a deep run in the playoffs once again.
