For the fifth consecutive year, the Johnson softball team has made the playoffs. They kicked off the first round with a 2-0 win, in a win or go home game against Smithson Valley.
Johnson high school may not have a wild buffalo named Ralphie, charge the football field before a home game or a giant “GO BLUE” banner that the players touch before they take the field. However, Johnson sports has their own special traditions and superstitions to follow.
Johnson High School is set to hold their annual Powder Puff football game on April 20th at 10 am. While the usual football game is played by males, the girls will be the ones suiting up and taking the field instead.
Sports injuries can happen at any time during the offseason, practice, and even in the middle of a game. Injuries are a common risk that players take every time they lace up and get on the court. A player never knows which game could be their last.
