The Johnson softball team just capped off a very successful year, finishing as NEISD champs for the second straight year, and won their first playoff round defeating Smithson Valley. The team was led by an unexpected leader, one that had not even lived in Texas the year prior, freshman K.K. Colquhoun took charge for the Jags on the mound and didn’t look back.
For the fifth consecutive year, the Johnson softball team has made the playoffs. They kicked off the first round with a 2-0 win, in a win or go home game against Smithson Valley.
It’s 6 in the morning and the sun is still not out, Katie Weinman gets out of bed to go wake up her twin sister Keri so they can get to school and get a morning workout in.
