With social media being more advanced than it was in the past years, how do we exactly know it is completely safe? Why do we feel so compelled to open doors for people we don’t know on campus?
Day thirty-something of quarantine and the severity of the pandemic is really sinking in--we switch on the news, and they’re talking about the Coronavirus, we say good morning to our family and suddenly we’re talking about the Coronavirus. There’s no escape and everything seems gloomy, however, in these dark times there’s still some very amusing light.
Riley Nelson has a special connection to Johnson HS. She graduated in 2010, completed her undergraduate degree at Kansas State and then joined the Peace Corp. Right now she’s serving in Indonesia as an English teacher. And now, a handful of years later, she’s found a way to give back to her high school campus.
In a little over week, the @CTJ_Compliments account has grown to reach over 300 followers, with an Ask.fm account allowing anonymous submissions of compliments aimed at any Johnson student.
