Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving started when the Plymouth colonists and the Wampanoag Indians had a feast, but it wasn’t until 1863 that President Abraham Lincoln declared Thanksgiving as an official holiday. Some people are skeptics and say that the colonists and the Indians actually fought on Thanksgiving, and that Thanksgiving wasn’t created until later on. I guess that nobody will really know the real truth.

Anyway the way some people (because not everybody celebrates certain holidays) celebrate Thanksgiving is a traditional turkey with stuffing and alot of other sides, and maybe even a pumpkin pie for dessert. But not everybody eats turkey. Some people eat duck or chicken or have a big barbecue, but people the world over who celebrate Thanksgiving give thanks for the bountiful feast before them and being alive as well as for all of their family and friends.
