Jane Santa Cruz serves because she knows what a profound impact a tutor and mentor can have on a person’s life. As Krueger’s Program Manager, Jane looks forward to strengthening City Year’s partnership with Krueger and creating innovative service initiatives to help build the Krueger community.
She likes being the program manager because she wants to see how City Year and the students around her grow. “It’s been really special for me to be the Program Manager at Krueger and Ed White. I originally served as the Team Leader at Ed White a few years ago (like Haisheng is doing now at Krueger) and I have really appreciated being around the students that I served years ago. Also, it’s been a privilege to see City Year grow in NEISD – originally we were only at Ed White, then we were serving at both Krueger and Ed White, and now we’re serving at Krueger, Ed White, and Roosevelt High School this year. I’m very proud that I get to see the positive growth as time passes.” she says.
This is the second year she has attended City Year at Krueger, and she looks forward to participating in both our students’ and their City Year team’s growth.
