Senior Year Relationships: To Be or Not To Be?

I am one of those people the internet would call “forever alone.” I’ve never had a boyfriend, and that fact has just recently been getting to me. Sure, I like someone, but I don’t think getting into a relationship at this time is best for either of us.

To me, starting a relationship at this point is like giving your heart to someone and asking for it back at the end of the year. If you’re not in a relationship by now seniors, I suggest you don’t start one.

I’m not saying relationships are bad: having experience with one is helpful for the future. And, if you really do like someone and want to give it a try, then that’s okay as well.

However, you should be aware of the conseguences. As seniors, we are departing from high school and going our own separate path. While contacting someone far away is easier nowadays, taking time to physically spend with the one you love isn’t as simple.

Sometimes, high school relationships do last. Ultimately, the decision is up to you. But be sure to think it over before you give your heart away.
