This Veteran’s Day, several school organizations came together to honor those  who served in our country’s military services at one time, along with the dedication of  MacArthur View. The Concert Chorale and Brass Ensemble performed patriotic songs in between guest speeches by General Arnold Gordon-Bray, State Representative Dan Branch, and San Antonio Councilman John Clamp. JROTC stood at attention with American flags along the sidewalk in front of the school as faculty and students commuted in during the morning hours. Afterwards, the Blue Angels and Blue Guard presented an exhibition drill for General Gordon-Bray and other spectators outside the ROTC building. A blue ribbon was expanded along the stage and cut by Councilman Clamp to recognize the street name change from Bitters to MacArthur View. Celebrating Veteran’s Day and dedicating the street has one simple message behind it, giving back to the community.
