The Golden Globes is an awards show that is different from other awards shows; Instead of having assigned seating and such, it is actually a party/awards show. There are no designated “seat-fillers.” Anything can happen- one example of unusual behavior is when in 1999 Jack Nicholson mooned the crowd… On camera! Many of you have probably already seen the 2012 Golden Globe awards, but for some of you (like me) that haven’t seen it, here is the full list of award winners. The list can be seen here:

Screen Actors Guild Awards

The Screen Actor’s Guild (SAG) Awards are an unusual awards ceremony, for instead of the normal situation of the fan’s picking the nominees, fellow actors and actresses pick- and judge- the nominees. The 2012 SAG Awards air on Jan. 29 on TNT and TBS at 8pm/7pm central time.

Academy Awards

The Academy Awards is an awards show that gives out Oscars to winners of up to 25 categories of nominations. The nominations come from the previous years’ TV shows, movies, etc. The 2012 Academy Award nominations were announced today! See the full list here: Nominees for the 84th Academy Awards. The actual show will air on Feb. 26 on ABC at 7pm Eastern time, 6 pm central time, and 4 pm Pacific time.
