Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man Review

Act Like a Lady Think Like a Man is a phenomenal movie that acknowledges the problems of modern day relationships and focuses on them in an original, creative, and hilarious way. Even though this movie is a romantic comedy, it is by no means a “chick flick” and is the perfect date movie. The movie was both sophisticated and real but is undoubtably marked by its comedy. It features a lot of stars like Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson, and Megan Good, just to name a few.

This movie is great but should be rated higher than PG 13. There are a lot more sex and drug references than should be allowed in a PG 13 movie. There was also an excessive amount of profanity and racial slurs.

The movie is the story of a group of couples who try to figure out their mate using comedian Steve Harvey’s book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. When the tables turn and lies are exposed, the couples are forced to stop with the mind games and come clean to get the relationships they want.

My favorite parts of the movie were when the guys were hanging out at the bar because it was realistic and showed how most guys think. They were really funny and each of them had their own personalities and problems with their mate that were expressed in the most interesting ways. It is through their conversations that they realize their women are using the book against them. The movie gets more interesting when they attempt to do the same thing in return.
