Addicting Games for the Addicted Gamer

Halo 4

Halo 4 is the new and exciting sequel to the Halo trilogy and the beginner to the new on. There are a ton of new features that 343 Industries, the people who now own Halo, have added.

There are some new weapons, armor abilities, features, and even a new class of enemies. Some of the new features that Halo 4 has are that sprint is now a permanent ability, letting players move faster through the all new maps.

There is now a custom class system that lets players have the guns that they want instead of what the game gives them. Some of the new weapons that are in the game are, for the UNSC (humans), the SAW, which is a very powerful machine gun, and the sticky detonator, which is a sort of grenade launcher except the grenades stick to where they land (hence the ‘sticky’ part). The new weapon for the Covenant (aliens) is the storm rifle, which is an automatic rifle.

The new class of enemy is the Prometheans. The Prometheans are a biologically robotic (which means that they are basically cyborgs) race that were created to protect the Forerunner world of Requiem. They even come with their own class of weapons. These weapons include the light rifle, scatter shot and the incineration cannon. Each of the weapons are devastating in their own way.

Some of the new armor abilities are Promethean vision, which allows you to see through walls in a thermal vision kind of way for a short while, and the hard light shield, which is a shield that you can spawn in front of you to absorb some of the incoming damage. Halo 4 adds so much to the already immense Halo universe. Halo 4 comes out on Nov. 6.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is the somewhat sequel to Call of Duty: Black Ops. Black Ops 2 adds some new things to the multiplayer that already has millions of people playing it.

The thing that has caught the eye of many people, other than the fact that this is another Call of Duty game, is what Treyarch has done to the extremely popular “Zombies” mode. They have added a few new things to the Zombies mode that are really cool.

The major thing is that they have added a story mode to the former only-zombie-horde-style mode. This is either something that could be really well done, or be something that Treyarch could have totally left out.

Another thing that Treyarch has added is that there now is a bus in Zombies. This is something that Treyarch has not released to much information on, but it seems that the bus is used for getting from level to level in the new story mode that they are adding. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 comes out on Nov. 13.

Far Cry 3

Far Cry 3 is another addition to the very popular series. In this one, the player is trapped on an island with what seems to be an endless number of psychotic killers and extremely dangerous animals that are trying to kill you.

Some of the animals the player will encounter while running through the jungles and other places on the island are tigers, sharks, water buffalo and dogs, each with the intention to kill the player. Some of the animals though, like the water buffalo, will only attack the player only if the player attacks them first.

Some of the many weapons that the player can get while roaming through the island are all types of guns, such as the AK-47, a bow and arrows, a machete and several types of explosives.

To get a bird’s eye view of the island (almost literally), the player can hang-glide at certain parts in the game. They can also drive Jeeps with mounted machine guns, and drive boats. This action free-roam game will keep you busy for hours on end with all of the missions that the game has to offer. Far Cry 3 by Ubisoft comes out on Dec. 4.
