With the last day of school quickly approaching, there’s only one thing on every students mind; summer. No homework, deadlines or waking up to an alarm clock means most everyone has plans they are looking forward to.

Here are some affordable and fun places you can visit that will be sure to create a summer filled with memories.

Natural Bridge Caverns is a great place for anyone to visit who wants to see historical caverns and who doesn’t mind getting a little exercise. The standard Discovery Tour gives you a 75 minute duration time to explore with a tour guide and covers three-quarters of a mile in caverns. Admission is $19.99 for adults and $11.99 for children. They are open daily and hours of operation vary from week to week, although, you can visit their website ahead of time for updates.

The San Antonio Zoo is a fantastic place for families to visit. The Zoo offers several different attractions which include a butterfly exhibit and train rides. They are open 365 days a year from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is just $12 for adults and $9.50 for children and parking is free.

If you are looking to cool off this summer The Parks and Recreation Department offers open swim sessions from 1-7 p.m. every Saturday. The pool is located in Lady Bird Johnson Park at 10700 Nacogdoches. General admission is free.

No matter what you have in store this summer, there are plenty of cool things to do in the San Antonio area to keep you busy.
