I see it to believe it

With all of the commotion about underage drinking such as the Texas Tech incident and the studies in North Carolina, Student Council chaplain and leader of the Drugs and Alcohol Committee, senior Alyssa Parsons, has taken a stand.

On Sept. 24, in front of the auditorium, students will be able to see how it feels to be under the influence of alcohol during their lunches.

“‘I see it to believe it’, is what they are calling it [on the student council website],” Parsons said.

Students will be able to experience this through equipment that will distort their vision and make it difficult to walk.

“I think they will see the true effect that is has on the body and maybe stop [drinking],” Parsons said.

This is just the beginning, student council will have more games like this during Red Ribbon week.

“I’m very excited for it,” senior Casandra Aguilar said. “I can’t wait to see what other people think.”
