Girls remain undefeated

The only tie of the season for the girls soccer team came against Reagan Feb. 17. Extending their win total to six, the team defeated Madison 1-0 Feb. 28.

“It feels good [being in first place],” junior Ana Campa said. “It’s a rough start for second round, but we’ll keep getting better.”

Inclement weather postponed the game from Friday to Saturday. Weather conditions were still rough at game time, featuring a slight drizzle and temperatures in the low 30s.

“The weather just plays a big part in the game,” Campa said. “It’s either play a pretty game of soccer or just win, and we’re just trying to win today.”

Still in first place in the district, the girls’ face Churchill March 3 at BAC-East at 5 p.m.
