Keeping Your New Year’s Resolutions

A new year means new resolutions, most of which won’t be completed or thought about after the first week of the new year. Although you can make a change and keep your resolutions.

Switch it up

Your resolution doesn’t have to be a big change, it can be something small like switching up the music you listen to. Most people try to aim big with their resolutions, which is why they aren’t completing them. No matter how big or small your resolution is, there are ways to get closer to those goals.

Pace yourself

Doing a little bit every day to meet your goals is a great way to pace yourself and not forget about these plans. Goals take time to meet. As great as it would be to get these resolutions out of the way within a couple of days it’s just not possible. Take your time and go at your own pace, don’t let other people influence how you handle your resolutions. Everyone is different and uses their time differently.

Keep track

Track your progress. Seeing how much progress you’re making is great motivation to keep going and make even more. This can be through a journal, notes, or even an app on your phone.

Most importantly, treat yourself and don’t push yourself too hard. As long as rewarding yourself doesn’t distract you from meeting your goals, then go for it. You’re trying your best, recognize it and be proud.
