4 Horror Movies to Watch This Halloween

Halloween is just around the corner and that means it’s time to get a good scare in. Here are four relatively new horror movies that are guaranteed to have you leave the lights on when you go to sleep.

1.) Hellraiser (2022)

Hellraiser is a 2022 film featuring actors such as Jamie Clayton, Odessa Zion, Brandon Flynn, and Drew Starkey.

Riley and her boyfriend break into a shipment container hoping to find something valuable to sell, but what they find instead is more dangerous than they could’ve ever imagined. A seemingly harmless puzzle box, but when Riley solves it she has no idea of the horrors she’s about to unleash on herself and the people around her.


2.) Alone

Alone is a 2020 film telling the story of Jessica; a recent widow in the middle of moving. While on the road Jessica keeps running into the same man, it seems like every time she takes a break from driving he’s there. When Jessica is stopped in the middle of the woods by the man she realizes all too late that her tire had been slashed, leaving her trapped middle of the woods, and thats when he strikes. Jessica now has to figure out how to escape her kidnapper’s clutches alive.


3.) Shirley

Shirley is another film from 2020. It takes place in the early 1950s, newlyweds Fred and Rose Nesmer are staying with Fred’s boss Stanley Hyman. Stanley’s wife Shirley is a renowned author who’s been in a creative rut, but inspiration strikes again as her new house guests get settled in. 

4.) Fresh

Noa has tried every dating app she could get her hands on, but has been left disappointed by each and every one. One day she meets a man at the supermarket who seems perfect for her and they immediately click. After several dates he invites her to join him on a weekend retreat and against her better judgment Noa agrees. She decides to spend the night at his luxury home, but nothing could prepare her for Steve’s monstrous appetite.
