Coming off a 28-23 victory over the Steele Knights broadcasted on ESPN, Madison faced Kerrville Tivy on Sept. 3 at Comalander Stadium. The outcome of the game was a 39-34 loss for Madison.

“We are really disappointed that we lost. The good thing is we improved offensively, but we just couldn’t finish,” coach Jim Streety said. “Anytime we lose a game [we] learn something.”

The loss was the first of the season for the team, which hopes to bounce back from the defeat.

“We know that we have to be more consistent and win at the end of the game,” Streety said.

The next game is against New Braunfels Friday Sept. 10 . Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m. at Unicorn Stadium.
