The Android-Apple Debate

By Ethan Martinez

Today’s life style evolves around the use of modern technology. Essentials such as smart phones and tablets caused us to become self-dependent on their use. Products vary for different sources of usage, such as when you want a good camera, a good processor, or good built in speakers for music. Debates over phones light up social media and television commercials stating that the next big advancement in technology has arrived. Apple and Android play tug of war for the consumers and cause great debates for quality and service of their phones and tablets.

One of the biggest leaders in the cell phone business is Apple. Apple started out making computers and competing with Microsoft in sales. Over the past decade, the company began to collect fame after the release of the iPhone in 2007, for the design that started the era of the smart phone. Over 600 million iOS devices are sold all over the world to this day.

The mobile plat former give apple a run for their money with other phones such as the Google nexus, the Galaxy S4, the LG Optimus G, and many more. The Android system feels and looks different with a more advanced feel and varies from phone to phone. The variety of Android ignites the debate over which system proceeds to be the best.

Comparing the two soft wares, only one rises to the top, Android’s variety makes the company to look more efficient and a better investment. The use of Apple feels restricted to what you can do with your product and the features that come with it don’t meet to the standards of some androids on the market. Apple makes products on a simpler level that makes an older generation or non-tech savvy consumers, but that does not mean they don’t make a great phone or tablet. If apple adds more of an option towards consumers and less of a “ Wait for the next one” type deal, some attention and respect from the people would result.
