On Sept 19, Madison received the honor of being broadcasted on Fox News, putting out a message that Madison, according to prinicpal Debora Aceves-Torres, is “To show that we’re here, and we’re proud.” Aceves-Torres continued to boast about how, “Madison is the best campus.” Torres continues, “I am humbled and honored to be a part of this school, I love the students and I have been to many campuses.”

During the  public event, Madison showed their talent, including the Maverick Band, Fillies, Cheer, Color Guard, Madison Avenue, Dollies, and Twirler performances. “It took a lot of practice, perfecting our stands and being ready at anytime for anything,” sophomore Allison Woods, Mad Ave member, said.”MadAv has been preparing for this since the beginning of the school year.”

The entire event lasted from 7 to 9 concluding with all those who came out to represent James Madison High School going up on stage together to cheer on our Maverick pride.
