Praise for Chicken Noodle Soup

The iconic song released in 2006 by DJ Webster and Young B, has now been released as a remake with the collaboration of Becky G and J-Hope from BTS including the same catchy chorus, colorful hip hop beats, and uplifting newly added verses.
On the morning of Sept. 26, 2019 Becky G tweeted “Soooo… #BeckyHasAnotherSecret” to which BTS responded ” Hey @iambeckyg, I have a secret, too… #CNS”

As a member of the BTS army, this hint towards a collaboration that had me over the edge in excitement. Compared to BTS’s previous collaborations with other western artists such as Wale, Halsey, and Steve Aoki, the collaboration with Becky G was a shining piece of gold. Becky G predominantly sings in Spanish and I knew a collaboration with J-Hope, who’s a very versatile rapper, would produce the best trilingual song the music industry’s ever heard of.
As for the song itself, it deserves all the praise. The song centers around paying respect to the artists’ heritage and their identity. The beat and flow of the verses can’t help but make you want to dance and feel uplifted. J-Hope expressed that the song was meaningful for him and wanted to produce a song that reflected his passion for dance. For sure he nailed it.
The track ultimately got its final stamp of approval from the original creators of Chicken Noodle Soup from both DJ Webster and Young B on their social media. Bianca Bonnie, Young B, praised both artists for the international success it achieved.
“I feel like ‘Chicken Noodle Soup’ was always an international record. People of all cultures know the song, and it’s always been that way… [J-Hope and Becky G] made it even bigger for this day and age. I’m very open-minded and I feel like [the remake] is good for the culture,” Bonnie said.
