THE GOOGLE HISTORY

Here’s a joke- Q-Why do people use Bing? A-To search up Google! 🙂

So we know that everyone uses Google, to look up photos, videos, and other stuff, but do we know who made Google? Also, who created the Google Doodle? (The Google signs with the pictures on it)

Larry Page and Sergey Brin met at Stanford University in 1995 and together they made GOOGLE together! The quick history how Google came alive:

1995: Page (met at 22 now 40 and born in Tennessee) and Brin (met at 21 now 40 born in Russia) met at Stanford University.

1996: Began a search engine called BackRub, the BackRub operates on Stanford.

1997: Google.com was registered as a domain on September 15. How they made the name Google, was a play with letter with the word googol.

1998: Larry sends a monthly “Google Friends Newsletter” to tell and inform fans about company news.

1999: They grew out of their old working place and moved to 165 University Avenue with only eight employees.

2013:  Some amazing things Google does now, so now our Google is more advanced and now our Google not only makes an awesome website but now donates 200 million dollars to the west side of Texas to deliver clean air Google now has Google Play All Access, Google+ Photos and a bunch of other really cool stuff! How Google Doodle came alive! (In case you don’t know what Google Doodle is, it’s the cool looking Google sign with the pictures that comes up in occasion.)

In 1998 Larry and Sergey made the first Google Doodle (A Google Sign with a stickman behind the second O in Google), and then in 2000 they asked a guy name Dennis Hwang (born in Tennessee and moved to South Korea and now works for Google as a graphic artist) to make a Google Doodle for Bastille Day so he did. And it turned out GREAT! So that is how Google Doodles came alive! Quite simple actually, and after that day, the Google Doodles became more and more advanced.  Now the Google Company actually holds a contest from grades to Kindergarten to 12th grade to draw the Google sign for a certain occasion, for example: 4th of July, Christmas Day, and so forth.  So if you get the chance, go to the Google Doodle page (which you probably do every day) and look up the Doodles from years back and maybe you can read the instructions to actually enter the Google Doodle contest!

So next time you visit the Google page, think about how awesome it was made, both the Google Doodle and the Google history!
