Mavs Inch Closer To A Playoff Spot

By Richard Hernandez

After coming off a loss against the Judson Rockets last week, the last thing that anyone wanted the Mavs to do was to lose against the Reagan Rattlers.
The Mavs didn’t disappoint. They came out on Friday night and won their third game in distrcit, with the game concluding in a 36-28 victory for the team.
“We came out and played as a team and left with the win, and as long as we work as a team we will make it far into the playoffs,” senior Chris Graf said.
The win brought the Mavs to a 3-1 record in district with this week’s game being against Lee. If the Mavs win Saturday, they will have won their fourth district game which could allow the team to clinch a playoff spot.
“I think [making playoffs] is a great opportunity and we completely deserve it,” senior Jasper Pearson said.”We can show to everyone that we can overcome are losses and come out on top.”
The game against Lee will be held on Saturday Oct.30 at Comalander Stadium.
