Adding Fuel to the Fire

Late last night when no one was here besides the janitorial staff, one Patty Spittler, who is Principal Chris Thompson’s sister, along with a few other members of the MacArthur staff decided it would be a good idea to sneak into Thompson’s office and unleash a Mac Attack.

“[When I walked in] I was surprised and shocked. I was not expecting it,” Thompson said. “Not at all am I angry or upset. It is just adding fuel to the fire!”

Blue streamers hang from wall to wall and blue paper plates with the letter “M” standing for MacArthur are taped on chairs and the wall. Also on the door this is a picture of Thompson from his graduation at MacArthur High School in 1979 and it reads “ONCE A BRAHMA FOREVER A BRAHMA”.

“The irony of all of this is that my sister is a graduate of Madison!” Thompson said. “I understand why they are doing this. We have a tradition of beating the snot out of MacArthur. So when they won last year they think they will intimidate us by doing what they did.”

As of now, nothing has changed in his office. Thompson wants to keep everything the same until the football teams sees it in hope that it will get them even more pumped for the M & M Bowl rivalry game.

“I plan on getting everything she put in my office and placing it in a trash bag,” Thompson said. “And when we win tonight, I will march across the field with trash bag in my hand and drop it right in front of her!”
