Parents, students, and college representatives collectively came together last Monday evening at Blossom Athletic Center for this year’s NEISD College Night, hosted by Madison High School. Last week’s Go Get It Week lead up to College Night, a district-wide event that allowed students to get information pertaining to their post-secondary educational plans and to talk with university and college representatives. “It really helped me become clear on my plans after high school,” sophomore Heather Waldschmidt said. “I talked to colleges about the programs I want to get into, so it’s helpful to know what they want from you.” Texas colleges including San Antonio College, University of Texas, and Texas A&M were present, as well as many out-of-state colleges. This diverse group gave students a wide range of college and university choices to browse and collect information from.
