Will each of the interim campuses have two KIN Directors?
No. Directors hired for Las Lomas and Vineyard Ranch will rotate between the interim schools in order to get familiar with their students and parents. However, there will always be a Director on site.
I have not registered my child for KIN yet. Do I register them for the interim campus site?
No. You will need to register them for the campus they are zoned for, i.e. Las Lomas or Vineyard Ranch. The KIN office will make the arrangements necessary to assure that all of your child’s information is at the correct site.
If I have already registered my child for KIN at one of the new schools do I need to change the registration information?
No. The KIN office will make the arrangements necessary to assure that all of your child’s information is at the correct site.
Will there be extra staff/space available at the interim campuses for students enrolled in KIN?
Yes. Staff will be hired to meet the needs of both Las Lomas and Vineyard Ranch. Those staff will be at the interim school and will then move to the new schools once construction is complete.
Will KIN be available at the temporary sites?
Our commitment to you is that your child will start the year with his/her teacher and classmates and, with the exception of staffing adjustments, his/her class will remain together throughout the year. This same commitment will be applied to the KIN program as well. We will provide a KIN program for all students by hiring staff for both new schools. When the new schools open, the staff will move as well.
