On Nov. 18 JROTC went on their annual service learning trip, this year they went to the Holocaust Museum where they heard the testimony from a survivor, walked through the museum, and discussed modern day discrimination.

It’s not Superman. It’s Supermoon

A supermoon is when the moon itself is at its closest point to the Earth. For the next three months the supermoon will take place. This supermoon will be the closest and brightest in 2016. It will also be the largest supermoon since 1948. The next full moon this close the the earth is predicted to happen on Nov. 25, 2034.

When viewing their report card students hope to have a sigh of relief instead a feeling of dread. The nine weeks report card regulates their achievement throughout a time period giving them play time. A grade above 70 determines eligibility for those involved in extra curriculum.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, premiering in theaters Nov. 18, is a Harry Potter film series spinoff where Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), a Hufflepuff, has just completed his journey to find all magical creatures. In spite of the release of this movie, a total of 54 random students and teachers were asked: “What Hogwarts house would you be sorted into?”
