National Pizza Day!

February 9th is a day all about pizza. Deep dish ,Chicago , thin crust , and everything in between.  The most important thing to do on this day is to eat a slice of pizza ,to my knowledge the origins of this day goes all the way to 1889.

Originally pizza is from Italy, if you live in the U.S. it possible that you have eaten 6,000 pizza slices over the course of your life. The first pizza place in America was Lombardi’s in New York City. Originally it was a grocery store but it started selling pizza in 1905. Pizza is ate all around the world, especially in Norway.  Americans eat approximately 100 acres of pizza which is equivalent to 350 slices per second. 17% of restaurants in the US are pizzerias.
