“I like that I get to talk with my friends, just all girls; With no awkwardness with guys around,” DATA Freshman Lili Miller said.

Girls Inc.’s motto is to inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. Instructor, Sofia Gayou thought it would be beneficial for her to have something like Girls Inc. growing up.

“I wanted to make it my mission to inspire girls to be confident, and to be themselves; It’s extremely important,” Gayou said.

The organization teaches girls how to overcome peer pressure, setting goals and achieving them.

“What Girls Inc. values the most is every single girls individual talents and individual strengths. Our mission is to inspire each one of those girls through their talents and strengths to be strong, smart, and bold,” Gayou said.

Girls Inc. encourages girls to take risks and master physical, intellectual and emotional challenges. They can even be something that even friends can attend together.

“I like that it’s really comfortable. I don’t feel like I have to try so hard since its just my friends and me,” DATA freshman Gabi Prigmore said.

Prigmore says she likes that she doesn’t have to put on an act to be accepted.
