On April 3, an ETA rocketry team reached the qualifications for nationals for the Team America Rocketry Challenge.

Out of 1000 students only 100 qualified for nationals, which will be held May 13 in Viriginia. The requirement was for the rocket to reach a minimal of 850ft and 46 seconds without breaking two eggs on board during the launch. The qualifying team consisted of three members, Ana Wilson, Ethan Bracy, and Caylee Davis.

The team started with no kits, building from scratch, and worked during their lunches and after school, and went to multiple test launches to achieve this height.

“I’m excited that we got this far and I will try hard to win this year for nationals,” junior Ethan Bracy said.
