New Year, New You

With all the hysteria going on with how the world was supposed to come to an end at the end of the 2012, a month in to 2013 students tend to be happy and thank the Mayans for being wrong.

Many students have established their New Years resolution and have chosen to do better not only at school but at home and make the best of it to make it far and really take advantage of the extra time they were given.

” I plan to be successful in life, because when you’re a Junior, it’s when you have to think about what you have to do in life,” Ernesto Lopez, a junior, said.

Some students plan to make an improvement in their studies as other may think more of a physical improvement.

“I wanna be healthier by not eating too much junk food and being friendlier to people and help them out with anything they may need,” Miguel Arambula, a sophomore, said.

Many students have chosen to make their goals for personal reasons and improve themselves, however; senior Jimmy Marquez has decided to make his resolution not only for himself but for his loved ones at home.

“I want to become a better son, I want to make sure I help out more at home and make my dad proud, I want to go to college and have a good job to help out at home,” Marquez said.

Many students have big plans for the future, however; one year at a time is how students have decided to take things and make the best of this 2013.
