Graduation night is one of the most dangerous times in a teen’s life and Project Graduation (now correctly called “Graduation Celebration”) offers graduates a safe way to celebrate at the time they’re most at risk of becoming DUI driving victims. Graduation Celebration is an all-night celebration, free of drugs and alcohol, held following commencement and will be the last time the class of 2013 will be together.

This year’s Graduation Celebration event will be at Dave & Busters and will be from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. on June 6, 2013. Students must be dropped off and be picked up at the school and will take a bus to the venue and back. Unlimited game cards, food, door prizes, dancing (DJ and Music), and contests will be included.

Currently, they are looking at featuring World’s Finest Chocolate as one of our fundraisers. They will be selling a variety pack which contains an assortment 60 bars in 5 popular flavors: Milk Chocolate with Almond bars, Caramel bars, Crisp bars, Dark Chocolate with Almond bars and Solid Milk Chocolate bars. Each bars sells for one dollar. The goal is to sell at least 42 cases so that seniors can make a 50 percent profit. Anything less then 42 cases would make only 40 percent profit.

Ticket sales are being held during all lunches until April 5 for $20, exact change only or checks must be made to Roosevelt High School, with a memo “2013 Graduation Celebration.” No sales will be made at the door so organizers encourage students to buy their tickets this week. A minimum of 200 must be sold in order for seniors to have a Graduation Celebration.
