If you say “All state region”, most orchestra students will tune into the conversation. All state region, also known simply as region, gives orchestra students the chance to shine. Orchestra students all come together and play certain excerpts from songs. Afterwards, the judges choose who is a right fit for the region orchestra.

Getting into the region orchestra is a great honor. Many students in our school’s orchestra have even made it into this prestigious group! As you can see, this competition is very important to orchestra students, and even if you don’t make it in, you gain lots of experience!

Ms. Solano spends her time after and before school helping these students with the region pieces, and has lots of patience. She is kind, gives her all to her students, and is proud of them no matter what!

Not only Ms. Solano, but Mr. Pittman, the student teacher! He spends time after school helping the students do their absolute best, and it really does make a difference! All of the orchestra students competing in region are excited and I’m sure a little anxious!

Stay tuned to the General’s Gazette to find out which orchestra students make it into region!
