Girls Struggle in Win

Although the game started out slow, the girls soccer team found a way to win 2-0 vs. NB-Canyon Mar. 28. Their next game will be Friday against Steele at BAC-West 7:30 p.m.

The first half ended scoreless as both teams struggled to move the ball down the field, but AnaLisa Pompa, 9, broke the deadlock five minutes into the second half. The 2-0 victory came after Kyra Falcone, 10, scored her 19th of the season in the final minute of play.

“We definitely didn’t play our best, but we got out with a win and that’s what playoffs is about,” Coach Carl Stolhandske said.
