The Disney Plus show Percy Jackson and the Olympian is an adaptation of the Percy Jackson and the Olympian book series by Rick Riordan. The show featured Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, and Leah Jeffries as Annabeth Chase for the main cast.

The show follows 12 year old Percy Jackson, who is the child of Poseidon. He is going on a quest to find Zeus’ stolen master Bolt. On this quest he brings his stayer best friend Grover Underwood, and the daughter of Athena, Annabeth Chase. While traveling through the United States, they fight Greek monsters, meet many Greek gods, and find out about the true lightning thief.

The show gave a lot of expression to the PJO characters. It also had very good CGI to bring many charters and monsters to life. Personally, the actors portrayed their characters really well, and the places they ventured to were also spectacular and beautiful. I enjoyed and appreciated this show a lot.

Despite the great acting, some things could have been better. In terms of the scenes, some episodes were stopped very abruptly. This created confusion and didn’t allow for people to appreciate the meaningful moments. Some episodes were very short in the storytelling elements which also added to the confusion.

In the end, this was a very great adaptation of the beloved book series. While some points of the story were missed, it was made up through the acting by the cast. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to get into Percy Jackson series, or the people who already love the books. I give this show a 4.6 out of 5 stars.
