money for Trisun employees to celebrate the later holidays.

Candace Logan, the activities director for Trisun, was very thankful and happy students helped out. “All of you that came are awesome and I am thankful for the time and effort you gave.”

Students were in charge of setting up the food, games and making sure the children get prizes when they won the games.

“It was really fun. I had a blast working the fake tattoo station. I was really glad to see everyone having fun and playing the games. I thought it was really cute seeing all the little ones all dresses up and a big bright smile as they had fun,” Scarlett Snodgrass, junior, said.

All students enjoyed the experience of the Fall Festival with the joy of giving back to the community and also receiving community service hours in return.

“I wanted to help out my community and get community service hours in the process,” Erik Alvarez, sophomore, said.

Some students enjoyed running their games and watching the kids play than receiving their community service hours.

“The Trisun Fall Festival was an awesome experience. I ran the “ducky” pool where children had to pick up a duck with a star on the bottom in order to win a prize. It was really cute to watch the little kids cheat everytime (but they still got a prize). Trisun is a great place to volunteer if you need the hours. You get to work with all the generations and meet the most inspiring people,” Jacklyn Sullivan, senior, said.

Everyone was extremely happy with the outcome of the Fall Festival. The joy of helping the community and giving back was a great feeling for Roosevelt students. For some this was the first year of volunteering but many plan to return year after year to help Trisun during their holiday events.
