The Fire

I am hated and I am feared

I can wipe out fields and have them cleared

I am played with a lot of times

I am known to commit a few crimes

I can grow big and tall

But sometimes I am forced to fall

Even though I have fallen before

I will always come back for more

There is more than bad I can do

I can open eyes and make them true

I can bring heat and smiles

I can go on for miles and miles

I can see what most hide

I know all that have lied

I can be a friend when one is alone

Even though I cannot be phoned

I know that you know me

It is plain to see

It is obvious I am Fire

That burns true and deep
