“I feel really confident that our competitors have a good chance of going to state,” said coach Lee Miller.

For Farrera, it’s his fourth chance. Though Farrera has been wrestling for eight years, he has been working his hardest since his freshman year, and he knows that this may be his last shot. Farrera placed third in his weight class in district, and he is going into region with confidence.

“I feel pretty confident. It’s my fourth time going; I’ve been every year. I’m pretty confident I will be placed,” Farrera said.

Oshiro placed second in his weight class.

“I’m going to try my hardest like I usually do,” Oshiro said. “It’s a true privilege make it this far.”

Truong placed first in the 95 class and said it felt great to be competing at this level. Arrona, originally an alternate, will be competing because another player was injured.

The wrestlers will compete throughout the day today and tomorrow at Blossom Athletic Center.
