Breaking a bad habit is not an easy thing to do and it’s a process, possibly a frustrating one. Cursing is one of the most common habits amongst teenagers. Studies have shown recently that swear words are more frequently used in ‘normal conversation’.

People should not only learn to control their swearing, but completely stop it all together.

Swearing is unprofessional, and this language practiced in a casual setting leads to habit therefore causing words to slip in inappropriate areas.

Affecting your professional image is a serious situation, and can ruin opportunities for you such as interviews, jobs, and other public speaking opportunities.

If you use swear words as an outlet of anger, you could come off as aggressive to some, and make others around you uncomfortable.

Others may use this language to connect more with the ones around them, but many may not know this language could offend people; leaving a bad impression.

Altogether not using this language will benefit you tremendously; people will take you seriously, and view you as mature.
