This winter the soccer girls and boys are ready to get up and play. Kicking off the season, the girls headed into their first tournament, January 13 while the boys went into their second tournament.
Faith, fight, finish, the three words on the girls soccer cage as they fought through their district season and as they fight through playoffs. Going into round 2, both the girls and the boys hope to make it far.
Boys and Girls are both excited and ready for the upcoming soccer season. Both teams made it pretty far in playoffs last year but they are both all set to take their teams to state this soccer season.
The 5th annual Fincke Cup is set to kick off Tuesday, February 18th, at the Blossom Athletic Center. The girls varsity match will begin at 5PM followed by the boys varsity match at 7PM. And although there are a lot of games on the Johnson soccer schedule, this game has an extra amount of significance.
The Johnson girls’ soccer team went to State this year, and although they came home with a loss, the community couldn’t be more proud of the way they represented our school.
